Membership of the Network is free to anyone who owns, managed, curates, carries out research or is in another way connected with Cold War heritage in the UK.
The Network offers the following benefits:
- Face-to-Face Events: Host two face-to-face events each year at various Cold War sites. These events will include guided tours, educational talks, and networking opportunities for attendees.
- Online Events: Organize four online events each year to engage a broader audience who may not be able to attend other events in person. These will likely include virtual tours, webinars, and interactive sessions with experts in Cold War history.

- Support for Local Meetings: Provide resources and support to help members organise local meetings, enhancing grassroots engagement and community involvement.
- National Cold War Event: Deliver a significant national event each May, focusing on a comprehensive program of activities that promote Cold War heritage and education.
- Newsletters: Publish six newsletters annually to keep members and stakeholders informed about past activities and upcoming opportunities, as well as updates, educational content, opportunities for collaboration, and highlights from Cold War research and sites.
- Supporting Member Partnerships: Facilitate and support the creation of partnerships and collaborative projects among members to leverage collective strengths and resources.
- Funding Initiatives: Generate research funding and additional financial resources to support educational initiatives, engagement in Cold War heritage, and promoting Cold War events and attractions.
- Joining International Networks: Joining networks in other countries with similar aims, objectives, and memberships to explore the potential for joint projects, sharing best practices and facilitating international networking between members.
